aloecia barbae prgonosis?
Hi, I'm a 19 yrs old male. I recently got diagnosed with alopecia areata barbae. I have several really small patches(0.5 cm in diameter) and one larger patch. I have them for 2 months now and some white hair is growing in some of them and some new patches are appearing. I was wondering if the alopecia will attack my scalp or will it stay limited to the beard? I also have to add that I have a family history of alopecia barbae, but the alopecia of my family members never advanced beyond the beard. Is that a good news or bad news?

Do I have Alopecia areata barbae?
Ever since puberty started and i started having a "beard" I had noticed that in the center of my chin there is a quarter sized (currency that is) bald spot. Not completely bald, just very little to no hair or "peach fuzz" at all. This missing of hair is also on the right side of my face where you could say a chin strap would belong. My girlfriend had stumbled upon the form of Alopecia called Alopecia Areata Barbae. I think I may have this but I'm not sure. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
